На деревянных судах - толстые доски связывающие верхние концы топтимберсов.Syn:3) сущ. регель, реельс, релинг, рельс - длинные, тонкие сосновые или дубовые рейки с фасонной отделкой закрепленные на бортах и оконечностях корабля в качестве декора, в зависимости от места расположения они получали различные названия: самый нижний бортовой реельс назывался вест-реельс, следующий над ним, шир-реельс, который обычно распологался на линии оголовков топтимберсов, распологавшийся выше носил название дрифт-реельса, над планширем находился фиф-реельс. Реельсы гальюна, (наиболее часто называемые регелями или релингами) называются просто: верхний, средний и нижний регели.
